How did things turn out? I have naturally fine curly hair so I'm wondering if you think its worth it? I would rather have a pixie then rip out/off half my head. The end goal is a shoulder length cut. What do you think? Do you have any tips?Kristen Weyhrichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01701459878804289488noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1481025193996295520.post-14121753600433237012012-08-21T14:08:25.904-07:002012-08-21T14:08:25.904-07:00Facebook is being evil and won't let me see yo...Facebook is being evil and won't let me see your pics right now ("temporarily unavailable"), but the fact that you kept your length is awesome! I am definitely considering twist and rip next time. I like to try everything, and last time I backcombed. You're right: it sucked up my length. And when my hair grew out, the dreads ate the new growth, so my hair pretty much stayed the same length for a year. I was under the impression that all dreads are that way at first ... have yours been different (as far as growth is concerned)?Qhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03223648123102337154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1481025193996295520.post-82081193259799866392012-08-07T02:11:05.234-07:002012-08-07T02:11:05.234-07:00I love your post and you are thinking of doind the...I love your post and you are thinking of doind the twist and rip method, i have dreads and i used that method, i heard that using the backcombing method shortens your hair alot, when i used the R&T method my hair stayed the same length, i'll give you a few pics of what my hair looked like before and after.
BEFORE:https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=340828895974574&set=a.340828752641255.79589.100001424002181&type=3&theater
AFTER:https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.397992503591546.90177.100001424002181&type=3
with the twist and rip method you WILL need the crochet hook to tighten them there are always small fly aways to tuck in i have only crochet hooked them like 4-5 times since i have had them and thats about a month and a halfAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15091434321459819504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1481025193996295520.post-62834736999652888122012-06-04T18:26:31.146-07:002012-06-04T18:26:31.146-07:00Awesome post-dread fro. I never realized you could get hair out of dreads without having to shave it off. I like your new haircut!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
